HS Timber Group in Romania: 26th EUTR inspection with another positive result

In August 2024, the 26th inspection under the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) was conducted at our blockboard mill in Comănești, Romania. The inspection from the Environmental Guard was passed without any objections.

EUTR mandates the verification of the legality of timber products put on the European market. During the inspection, competent authorities assess compliance by reviewing documentation and auditing the due diligence systems implemented by the company.

With passing the control without any findings, HS Baco Panels has consistently demonstrated the legality of its transactions and the transparency of its operations. This inspection provided further validation of our Action Plan for a Sustainable and Secure Supply Chain, initiated in early 2017.
