HS Timber Group Supports Social Entrepreneurship Project in Tanzania. For many years, HS Timber Group has been committed to sustainable, entrepreneurial projects that open up new opportunities for people through education. A recent example of this is our support for a social entrepreneurship project in Tanzania, organized by the NGO Pepal.

At the heart of the project is the expansion of a poultry farm, whose proceeds help support the local community. With our contribution, children and young people with special needs will gain access to education and have it secured in the long term. We are convinced that education is the key to development – and this is exactly where the project comes in.

Our Support

HS Timber Group is helping to put the project on a sustainable footing. Specifically, we support:

  • the expansion of the barns to create more space for laying hens,
  • the purchase of 350 laying hens
  • the feed supply as well as rearing costs until the animals reach laying maturity.

This creates a solid foundation on which the project can grow and have a lasting impact.

Progress on the Ground

Recently, project facilitator Walter Lee traveled to Tanzania to meet with Sister Victoria, the project owner and Hezron Festo and Shrishti Ganguly of Pepal and documented the encouraging progress of the poultry farm. The images from the region impressively show how a vision is gradually becoming reality.

Sustainability through Entrepreneurship

HS Timber Group warmly welcomes the positive development of this project. It is a prime example of how entrepreneurial thinking and social responsibility can go hand in hand. The combination of economic viability and social benefit reflects our understanding of sustainable commitment.

We are proud to work together with Pepal and local partners to help give children and young people in Tanzania a better future.
