Most notably, we hold a PEFC Chain of Custody certification at all our mills as well as a Sustainable Forestry Initiative® Label Recognizing Global Standards based on the PEFC Chain of Custody. Additionally, our operations in Comanesti and Luvia have an FSC Chain of Custody certification. For our biomass purchases, we are certified according to SURE.

As one of the global leaders in our industry, we are convinced that certification is a key tool for promoting good forest management practices worldwide. Hence, we support certification not only by obtaining these credentials but also by actively participating in the dialogue with the certification organisations. Forest certification systems are, as a matter of course, also a crucial part of our comprehensive risk mitigation strategy, complementing all our other measures aimed at managing and steering HS Timber Group as a reliable, successful, and sustainable organisation.  

Believing firmly in the importance of sustainable forest management, we are committed to sourcing all our materials from certified forests by 2030.
