Positive Result in the 27th EUTR Inspection at HS Baco Panels
In May 2025, the 27th inspection under the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) was carried out at our blockboard production facility in Comănești, Romania. The inspection conducted by the environmental authority was completed without any objections.
This comprehensive review included, among other things:
• all deliveries and quantities by country, supplier, and type of material, including detailed spot checks
• our Due Diligence System (DDS) manual and the DDS Hub
• the FSC/PEFC certificates
• the EUTR register
The EUTR mandates the verification of the legality of timber products placed on the European market. During the inspection, the competent authorities assess compliance with the regulation by reviewing documentation and examining the due diligence measures implemented by the company.
By passing the inspection without any findings, HS Baco Panels has once again demonstrated the legality of its transactions and the transparency of its operations. This inspection serves as further confirmation of the action plan we initiated in early 2017 for a sustainable and secure supply chain.
