Holzindustrie Schweighofer has implemented a state of the art action plan to fight illegal logging in Romania. The company has strengthened the security of its supply chain so that only timber destined for harvesting is able to enter the company’s saw mills. In this regard, Holzindustrie Schweighofer successfully launched Timflow, a unique GPS tracking system that monitors the transport routes of saw log trucks from loading point to saw mill gate. The system went live in early April 2017 and after a testing phase, is functioning well.
