HS Timber Group continues cooperation with the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) for the fourth year
- This is the fourth consecutive cooperation with the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) for anti-corruption and antitrust trainings
- Such trainings create the foundation and commitment of each of our employees to our organizational and business culture
- Well-trained employees, with a clear sense for ethically and legally correct behaviour, are of outmost importance for HS Timber Group
In order to navigate through a very challenging regulatory environment and protect our employees, the company organized again this year Anti-Corruption and Anti-Trust Compliance trainings in collaboration with the experts from the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA).
The series of trainings has been continued via online workshops, which turned out to be very efficient for HS Timber Group employees from all over the county, and much better from a COVID-19 protection point of view. Over 55 employees in the mill management, sales, wood and technical purchasing departments took part into these trainings. This is the fourth consecutive training of this kind and it is part of the company’s Compliance Program.
“Ethical behaviour is one of the cornerstones of proper business. IACA, a high-level institution helps us to navigate in this challenging environment. Through interactive trainings and discussions with the experts from IACA we reflected on concrete cases. This specific feedback is very helpful and important for keeping awareness on this issue in daily business,” says Michael Proschek-Hauptmann, Chief Compliance Officer of HS Timber Group.
Vasile Varvaroi, log purchasing manager at HS Timber Productions Rădăuți and Reci said: “These courses are the cornerstones that create the foundation and commitment of each of our employees to our organizational and business culture.”
Building awareness through continuous training of HS Timber Group employees and lively compliance culture that strengthens the company’s security architecture are keys to our success. Therefore, the webinars also covered topics such as overview of organizational policy and vision, updates on anti-corruption trends and developments in Romania and EU, anti-competitive behaviour prevention and mitigation, as well as practical exercises and interactive discussions. Such trainings are important measures to keep track on the most recent changes in the legislation which concerns our activity.
