On Saturday, May 12th, the Tomorrow's Forest planting action in Dorna Candrenilor saw the largest volunteer numbers in Suceava County over the last 20 years take part in the reforestation of a degraded 2 ha area within the buffer zone of the the National Park Calimani.
Almost 600 volunteers - mostly students, but also rangers from the National Park, gendarmes and Holzindustrie Schweighofer employees - planted 6,300 seedlings in a beautiful and remote area, where strong winds and draughts have affected the wild mountain slopes between 2010-2016.
