In addition to ensuring compliance of log acquisitions, Holzindustrie Schweighofer (HS) has committed to fight illegal logging. This activity is based on a constructive dialogue with environmental NGOs, transparent communication and an overall enhanced control system for its supply chain, which also includes media monitoring of possible irregularities regarding the origin of all logs delivered to HS’ mills.
