In the light of the latest retailer announcement concerning environmental sustainability, Holzindustrie Schweighofer reiterates its own dedication towards sustainable and transparent sourcing.
Holzindustrie Schweighofer presented and is implementing an action plan to secure a sustainable timber industry in Romania. Sustainable and transparent sourcing is one of Holzindustrie Schweighofer’s key principles.
„The measures we are implementing are more intense than required by the law. For example, we innovate in the GPS-tracking field, currently implementing in Romania Timflow, a system that surpasses all legal requirements by far. This is one of our ways to fight illegal logging,“ stated Dan Bănacu, Holzindustrie Schweighofer Romania general manager.
