Holzindustrie Schweighofer has been actively taking part in reforestation actions organized throughout the spring. Thus, at the beginning of this month, forest engineers from the saw mill Radauti joined the specialists from National Park Calimani and those from OS Vatra Dornei for a praiseworthy reforestation activity.
„By doing this the company proves, once again, that it is making efforts to protect and develop natural habitats, that it is close to those who are managing the protected areas, and that it is fully aware of the importance of conserving biodiversity. Moreover, Holzindustrie Schweighofer is the only company from Romania that voluntarily committed not to purchase wood harvested from national parks, even though this is legal” – declared Eng. Vasile Varvaroi, purchase manager at Holzindustrie Schweighofer.
In addition to this event, the representatives of company have recently taken part in other reforestation actions carried out in the counties where the company is represented by its other production facilities, such as Suceava, Bacau, Alba and Covasna, but also in Harghita County.
